While X-Men: Apocalypse still two years away the teasing has already begun. For those who waited to see the post credit sequence at the end of X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) you may be interested to know it would appear this is how the Apocalypse movie is going to begin. Bryan Singer, who it is presumed is going to direct, has posted a picture on Instagram of a portion of the script treatment that he has written with Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris.
The photo shows references to the Nile and the Four Horseman. To explain the post credit sequence shows a mysterious figure (a mutant called Apocalypse) building the pyramids single handed using his mutant powers while being worshiped by the local Egyptians. In the background we see four distant figures on horseback. The Four Horseman have, I am informed, changed many times in comic book history but they are always mutants who have been brainwashed.
What we do know for sure is that the movie will be set in the 1980’s and focus on the X-Men: First Class (2011) cast although everyone expects Hugh Jackman to return as Wolverine.
