uk box office – 4th – 6th july

It was a very quiet start to July.  Mrs Brown’s Boys d’Movie remained top of the chart grossing £2.2m taking its total box office to £9.3m after two weeks in theatres.  The Fault In Our Stars is hanging on in there at number two with weekend takings of £0.96m and a total gross of £8.6m after three weeks of release.  The top three is rounded out by 22 Jump Street that after five weeks in theatres still managed £0.66m with total takings of £16.5m.

The highest new entry was Tammy but the comedy only managed fifth place with a weekend gross of £0.47m.  X-Men: Days Of Future Past is holding onto a top ten position having grossed £26.8m since release.

Next week expect Transformers: Age Of Extinction to trample over everything.
