It would appear that Harry Potter can’t stop making money. The beneficiary this time is Leavesden Studios on the outskirts of Watford. These studios are where the entire franchise was filmed and is home to the Harry Potter tour.
Leavesden has reported that in 2013, the first full year the tour was in operation, sales increased 68% to £83.4m and profits tripled to £32m.
For information other movies that shot at the studios include the first Star Wars prequel, Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight and Edge of Tomorrow. Warner Bros took other the studios in 2010 which led to the building of the new sound studios to house the Harry Potter tour.
