Well Saturday night at San Diego is now officially nerdgasm time every year as Marvel Studios take to the stage at the infamous Hall H.  This time they started off slow with the main cast from Ant Man which showed off some test footage as the Studio attempts to warm the fans up to this franchise following the Edgar Wright fiasco.  It was also revealed that the new villain is Yellow Jacket who will be played by Corey Stoll (The Bourne Legacy).

However, let’s not beat around the bush what everybody was waiting for was The Avengers and from all accounts it didn’t disappoint.  Robert Downey Jnr was first on stage and began the party by throwing roses into the crowd, I mean why not?  He was then joined by the likes of Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Cobie Smulders, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, and Samuel L Jackson.  Downey took the opportunity to introduce new members of the cast including Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany.

The roof of Hall H reportedly had to be replaced after the first footage from Age Of Ultron was shown to the crowd.  Empire Magazine is reporting some of the highlights from the footage included Ultron crashing a party declaring war on mankind.  There was a one-on-one between Hulk and Tony Stark in his new Hulk Buster armour.  There is also a scene that features Captain America’s shield in two pieces and a suggestion that The Avengers have been defeated / in big trouble.  There have been rumours before this that this movie could be a bit like Empire Strikes Back with Avengers 3 being the final resolution.

There were a couple of final surprises as Josh Brolin (Thanos) walked into the stage wearing something called the Infinity Gaunlet.  This was followed by a video message from Chris Pratt and James Gunn who announced that Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 would be released July 28th 2017.
