It is being reported that Paul Greengrass, well known for the Bourne movies and Captain Phillips, is being lined to up to direct a movie version of the book Agent Storm: My Life Inside al-Qaeda.
The book tells the story of a Danish man, Morten Storm, who became a radical and member of al-Qaeda who later becomes an agent for MI6 and the CIA. He reportedly lost faith in Islam because of the increasing level of violence being employed by the terrorist organisation.
The movie rights have been bought up by Sony and Scott Rudin will be producing. Given Greengrass’s track record this could be a a screamer.
